The path to Kviteberg is well signed from Fagernes center (Tourist information). 

Follow the lake shore towards the West, through the park and on the pedestrian bridge over the river. When you reach the E16, walk to the left (towards Fagernes Camping) for approx. 100 m, then cross the road and walk uphill on Nesvegen Road. Follow the signs to Kviteberg through the settlement area and continue on a forest path that leads fairly steep up to the small hut on Kviteberg. Enjoy the view and sign the guest book.

For a round trip, walk to the old tennant’s place behind the hut and across the meadow and follow the signs back to Fagernes. You walk past two wells and through the forest, then turn right downhill until you reach the gravel road that ends up by a Volkswagen car dealership. Turn right onto the sidewalk, walk across the pedestrian bridge at the waterfall Kvitvellafossen and continue back to Fagernes along the river.

Alternative route: From Kviteberg, you can continue very steep uphill to Valakamben (740 m).
