Valdresflye Café
About
Welcome to Valdresflye Café situated at the top of the Norwegian Scenic Route Valdresflye, 1389 meters above sea level!
This is a great place to eat, while enjoying striking views of The Gjende Alps in Jotunheimen. Valdresflye Kafe is perfectly located on the border between the valleys of Valdres and Gudbrandsdalen and the cafeteria’s menu offers local food from both these areas.
The menu contains both simple dishes like grilled sourdough toast and more exclusive local produce such as cheeces and cured meats, and elk burgers from Gudbrandsdalen. In the menu you can also find freshly baked waffles and homemade pastries. If you are planning to go on a hike the Café offers packed lunch.
Flye 1389 also serves as a service building with public restrooms and information about Jotunheimen National Park.
The iconic building was designed by architect Knut Hjeltnes, and it is managed by Visit Gjende. In other words, you are in good hands!
