The Stølsvidda curcuit leads through the heart of Stølsvidda, which is the region with most active summer mountain farms in all of Northern Europe. It is also one of the most beautiful areas of Valdres and a true cyclist's paradise. You cross high and free over the plateau past idyllic farm villages with grazing lifestock and summer meadows.The view along the trip is formidable.

From Vaset, follow the signs uphill to Gomobu and cycle onto the Stølsvidda high plateau towards the Brattåsen crossing. Here you turn right towards Tyrisholt where you pass by traditional summer farms with grazing lifestock.Keep going until your reach Langestølen. Here you turn right and follow the signs via Nøsen back to Vaset.
Both at Langestølen and Nøsen you can stop for someting to eat and drink. Lake Rensenn has a nice, shallow sandy beach.
This is a family friendly tour, but make sure it’s not too far for the yougest bikers.
Alterntive route via Gauklie:
For a slightly longer trip (45 km and 663 m elevation gain in total) keep straight ahead towards Gauklie in the Brattåsen crossing. You cross the heart of the Stølsvidda mountain plateau with a far and wide view. Just as Tysrisholt, Gauklie is an idyllic traditional mountain farming place with grazing lifestock. After Gauklie, there’s a steep downhill run and eventually, you reach the Furuset crossing where there is a rest shelter. Here you turn right onto Tisleivegen in the direction of Langestølen. At Langestølen, you are back on the main route and follow it back to Vasdet as discribed above.
