From the E16, exit by the Ulnes church and follow the signs towards Panoramavegen until Vaset. Turn left towards Gomobu (toll road). There’s a large winter parking area on the left-hand side shortly after you pass Gomobu Fjellstue (Mountain Lodge).

The tracks are frequently groomed for both classical and free style.

The trail to Synet starts at the parking area, heading south east, slightly climbing up to Nystølen and then crossing wide moor flats. There’s a 1 km side track to the high point of Synet, with a wide view towards the Jotunheimen mountains. After returning to the track crossing, you can choose between returning on the same track and turning to the left towards Valtjern (4 km) with long downhill passages. From Valtjern, there’s a track back to Gomobu.

Alternatively, you can choose to continue from Valtjern for another 4 km towards Langeberg (1060 m.a.s.l.) and then return to Gomobu.

This mostly flat and slightly hilly circuit is approx. 20 km long.
