Moderate, family friendly walk to the summit of Rundemellen, a well-known landmark that can be seen from many areas of Valdres and offers a spectacular view.

Directions
Follow road 51 north from Fagernes, approx. 11 km, and exit to the right towards Melbybråten. After 200m, turn half right on Køllstadvegen. Keep driving straight ahead  (toll road) and continue past the toll station towards Juvike, Lie and Turrsjøen. (Approx. 7 km). At the junction after passing the cattle guard, turn left towards Turrsjøen and keep going for another 2 km. Parking area on the left-hand side.

Description
There are two routes to Rundemellin and they can be combined to make a round trip. One begins by the parking area, and the other approx. 120m up the road. These will both take you around the mountain and meet in the northwest, where a single route continues to the top. The path from here is marked with small cairns. There are many larger cairns in the top area of Rundemellin, but the highest point has the biggest cairn and can’t be missed. Sign your name in the log book and enjoy the superb view of Eastern Norway.
