Kyrkjestølen enjoys a central and idyllic location close to the E16 and St. Thomas Church. From here, you are within walking distance of hiking trails, fishing lakes, mountain peaks and the historic The Kings Road Over Filefjell. Stay comfortably in the mountains, whether you are passing through or planning a longer stay surrounded by nature.
We offer accommodation in cosy rooms for 2 or 4 guests. All rooms have single beds or bunk beds. Bathrooms and showers are shared, and we also have a charming outdoor toilet that adds an extra touch of mountain atmosphere.
Breakfast is always included when you stay with us. We care about the food we serve – both for breakfast and in our café – and aim to make it homemade and locally sourced whenever possible.

Summer café with homemade flavours
Our café is open throughout the summer, welcoming both overnight guests and visitors passing by. Stop by for a relaxing break and enjoy freshly brewed coffee, homemade smoothies, warm waffles or traditional Norwegian rømmegrøt served with cured meats.
We are also known for our delicious stone-baked pizzas, along with other homemade dishes from our seasonal menu.
The sunny outdoor seating area has become a favourite stop for hikers and travellers looking to relax and enjoy good food in beautiful surroundings.
