Hande Rakfisk is a family run business that produce traditional food like spekemat (cured meat) and rakfisk (semi-fermented trout) from the Valdres region. We have a shop at the farm where you can buy our locally produced food, and we are also pleased to serve you some traditional local food. We can manage groups of up to 60 persons on request. Our rakfisk is served with "spekemat", and the traditional potato tortilla called "lefse".

The farm is situated on the banks of Lake Slidrefjorden, offering a nice view over the idyllic rural scenery, the fish ponds and the lake.

Valdres is the leading region in Norway in the production of rakfisk. «Rakfisk fra Valdres» is one of very few products carrying a protected label. Protected labels are used to brand Norwegian food delicacies originating from a defined geographical area and unique tradition.
