Hytteplan are concept developers for plot areas, cabin areas and turnkey cabins. That means we are always on the lookout for the best areas!

The history of Hytteplan started in the early 1960s. Hytteplan founder Arne Kvisgaard found that he wanted to help cabin builders with complete drawings, advice and tips. Arne spent the next couple of years selling his cabin drawings packed with advice and tips, before he received a request to also set up the cabins. It was totally life changing! He contacted a local builder who was shown the drawings and soon the first cabin was ready.

Rumors about the first "turnkey cabin" spread and there were more drawings and even more building kits. Arne developed a simple building system that allowed anyone to build a cabin. People increasingly wanted Hytteplan to take care of everything and turnkey cabins became a sought-after commodity. In the 1980s and 1990s, there was a tremendous development of the cabins. They were supposed to be bigger and have much better comfort. Hytteplan has always listened to the market and developed its cabins in interaction with the customers' wishes and needs.
