Follow the E16 to Vang and exit on the northernmost of the two toll roads into Skakadalen, signed Skakadalen 10 (not Skakadalen 8!). Pass through the toll station and continue for approx. 9 km. Parking area on the left-hand side of the road.

Walk along the same road for about 300–400m. The route to Skjøld starts to the right by Storstølen. The route is clearly marked with white V’s. In the beginning, it’s quite steep, but the terrain levels out on the plateau. The view from the edge of the cliff is one of the most breathtaking that Valdres has to offer and is highly recommended!
