The Jørn Hilme Festival is Norway's oldest folk music festival. In 2023 it takes place from 09. July to 16. July.
Throughout the festival week you can enjoy and experience concerts, courses, competitions, games and dance. The festival is well known for its unique program, offering both a mixture of traditional and innovative music and dance. Imagine lying in the heather, listening to some good music whilst the sun sets behind the mountain peaks. Or be entertained by the best fiddle players in the country. What about forging your own mouth harp? Get an insight into traditional folk life during a summer evening at the Valdres Folk Museum.
