Winter in Valdres

Valdres is the perfect winter destination for families. Althoug the region is probably most known for its traditional cross-country ski trails, there are as many as 8 small and large alpine centers in the Valdres area, as well as many othe "non-skiing" activities to choose from.

Cross-Country Skiing

The cross-country skiing possibilities are endless! Some prefer short excursions in the area they are staying in, while others like to ski for several days and spend their nights in self-service tourist cabins. There are near 1500 km of marked and prepared trails in Valdres and most of them are connected - making it possible to ski from one area to the other.
