Slidrefjorden is a well known water for fishing and good quality fish. There are many suitable locations for fishing from land, where worm, spinner and lure are the best methods. Fishing from boat, however, will probably give you the best results. The part of Strandefjorden that runs into the Vestre Slidre municipality, is also included in the fishing licence for Slidrefjorden.

Slidrefjorden is a regulated lake. Follow the water level at http://www.begna.no/vannstand.asp

Directions:
From Fagernes, follow the E16 west, towards Vang. The E16 passes along the north side of Slidrefjorden, stretching approx. 20 km from Fosheim in the south to Lomen in the north. There is also a road on the southern side of the fjord.
