About

We meet for a guided evening walk to experience wild animals in their natural habitat. From a mountain plateau we'll have a wonderful view over woods and marshland. We'll see the moose from a distance in order to not disturb those fantastic but shy animals. Before and during the walk, you will learn about the mountain area of Vaset, flora and fauna, legends and myths and obviously a lot about moose, also called “the king of the forest”. Join us for a unique hiking experience, where you get the chance to view moose in the wild, and simply enjoy Norway’s nature at its best. 

The tour is recommended for adults and children of all ages.

Moose safari in Vaset: Must be booked in advance (no later than 12 noon on the same day).
Available:                     From mid-July through August
Weekdays:                   Monday and Tuesday

Time:                            3 hours (approx.)

Be sure to bring:
- Patience and the ability to enjoy nature quietly
- Good footwear
- Appropriate clothing for any weather conditions (it often gets quite cold at night and/or it might rain), mosquito repellent
- Binoculars (can also be borrowed for the trip)
- Sitting mat (can also be borrowed for the trip)
- Camera!
