Fish species: trout

Heggefjorden is accessible for fishing with rod from land, and we recommend the west side of the fjord. There are some forested stretches along the water, but you'll find several paths leading down to Heggefjorden. Worm and lure are the most popular methods here, but fly fishing is also possible.

Directions
From Fagernes, follow road 51 towards Heggenes. Before reaching Heggenes, exit towards Herangtunet and Volbu. Follow this road for about 200m, and you pass a bridge. Turn right after the bridge (gravel road). This leads you to the west side of Heggefjorden. You can park along the side of the road near the water.
